Silver Age Surfers was created with one goal in mind; to become a valuable online resource for customers looking for the best in assisted-living devices, home-care products and durable mobility equipment.
We know everyone wants to remain independent for as long as possible and we understand how frustrating the most common tasks can become without a little help. But with tens of thousands of products available to help support independent living we also know it is impossible for consumers to keep up-to-date with the latest and best solutions. That’s where we are unique, tell us your situation and we can give you a recommendation for the best product for your specific need.
Why the name Silver Age Surfers, rather than a medical sounding name? After all, we do offer medical devices including bathing and dressing aids, wheelchairs, walking sticks, and plenty of other aids for daily living. Actually, it was during several trips to England that we discovered that in the UK, baby-boomers are often referred to as Silver Surfers; older adults who see the Internet as an important part of their daily lives. So with our founder being a native of England, and herself a baby-boomer, as well as a firm believer in the Internet, it was easy to adopt the name Silver Age Surfers for the business as a means of identifying personally with our customers.
We decided that we could offer the best service to our customers locally as well as nationally through an Internet-only store. But we didn’t stop there; we have added that all important personal touch by offering our customers professional advice through the Internet, giving our customers a chance to ask questions and get answers, all from the comfort of their computer.
